For almost 100 years, the marching band has provided KU students with an outlet to pursue their musical talents and passion. Currently, students from 33 different majors participate in KUMU, demonstrating the well-rounded experience students receive at KU.

 

Supporting KUMU means you support more than 140 student musicians who provide entertainment to more than 50,000 people annually at all KU home football games, tailgates, and multiple campus-wide events. It would be a great relief to our marching band and would allow us to focus on long term goals of supporting students with:

• Financial support for students who are unable to afford the participation fee

• Uniforms, flags, fabrics, instruments and equipment for color guard & percussion

• New trombones, mellophones and tenor saxes

• Transportation for the band to travel & perform at away games/marching shows

• Golf cart(s) to use during band camp & game days

• Graphic wrap for our new equipment truck (funded by the help of YOU!)
