Director of Bands
Dr. Daniel Neuenschwander
Daniel Neuenschwander is currently Director of Bands at Kutztown University in Kutztown, PA. As the Director of Bands at Kutztown, he is responsible for leading the Kutztown University Marching Unit (KUMU), Wind Ensemble, Fall Concert Band, and the Spring Symphonic Band. Additionally, Mr. Neuenschwander teaches Applied Trombone Lessons, Instrumental Methods, Trombone Choir, and coaching Brass Chamber Ensembles.

Dr. Dana Mandell
Dana Mandell is a music educator and conductor from central New Jersey. She recently earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Wind Conducting from Rutgers University, where she studied with Dr. Kraig Alan Williams. At Rutgers, Dr. Mandell served as director of the Rutgers Concert Band and regularly guest conducted the Rutgers Wind Ensemble. Brass Caption Head
Spencer Koppenol
Spencer Koppenol is the Brass Caption Head for the Kutztown University Marching Unit. Spencer also runs the Drum Major and Leadership camps for our student leaders in KUMU. Spencer has a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education with a concentration in tuba from Kutztown University and is also completing his Master is Music Education at Kutztown. Spencer currently teaches Middle School Band at Catasauqua Middle School.

Twirler Caption Head
Tammy Jandrasitz-Bodey
Tammy is a 1998 graduate of Kutztown University and was a four year member of KUMU and captain of the colorguard her senior year. She returned in 2002 as the colorguard/twirling director, taking a step back several years ago to concentrate on the twirling line.Currently residing in Tuscarora with her husband, Rick, Tammy is a dedicated 22-year veteran staff member of Hawk Mountain Sanctuary. In addition to baton twirling and KU-related sport teams enthusiast, Tammy is a devoted Penn State Football and Philadelphia Phillies Baseball Fan, an avid Disney Junkie (making a few trips Home to Disney World annually) and in love with the beauty of Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons.

Gigi Romano
Gigi Romano is the Director of the KUMU Color Guard. Gigi has been part of the activity for over 15 years and has spun with her high school color guard, Kutztown University, and Classics Independent Winterguard. She now coaches Parkland High School year-round in addition to KUMU.

Joshua Hinkel
Josh has been involved with the Marching Arts activity for 14 years! He has been a performer with various groups participating within DCA, DCI and WGI. Some notable marching experience includes performing with the Boston Crusaders, Fusion Core, Alter Ego Winterguard, AMP Winterguard and Fusion Winterguard. He is currently entering his 4th season as a staff member for Fusion Winterguard- an Independent World Class Gold Medalist based out of New Jersey. Josh has taught various Scholastic and Collegiate ensembles within the Tri-State area. Josh can be described as a Servant Leader with a passion to foster team unity. "I am super excited to be able to get the season going with the KUMU guard. New faces, new and existing talent. An exciting year ahead!"
