Danielle D'Ercole
Danielle is the cymbal technician for the Kutztown University Marching Unit drumline. Entering her eighth season, Danielle returned to KUMU as staff in 2017, but has been involved in the marching arts as an educator and performer for over 25 years.
A 2003 graduate from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, Danielle holds a Bachelor in Science in Elementary Education and a minor in Music. During her time at KU, she participated in the Kutztown University Percussion Ensemble, World Percussion Ensemble, Concert Band, and Marching Unit. While a member of the KUMU, she was awarded the Reid F. Lessig Scholarship of Bands in 2000, was a sister of the Honorary Band Sorority Tau Beta Sigma, and played 2nd flute for the Reading Philharmonic Orchestra.
Since graduating from KU, Danielle has worked with several high schools across the tri-county area in southeastern PA with both indoor and outdoor percussion programs teaching cymbals where she has consistently built successful programs. In 2009, Danielle marched with the Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps when they became the first DCA corps to win five consecutive championships with a fifth consecutive undefeated season.
She currently teaches second grade at Thirteenth and Union Elementary in the Reading School District and is working towards her ESL certification. She is also the head coach for the Girls on the Run team at Thirteenth and Union.
